9 Panel Drug Test Including Expanded Opiates Plus 6-acetylmorphine, Ecstasy, & Fentanyl (Urine)
When it comes to drug testing, there are a wide variety of tests and panels that are available. Often multiple drugs or substances are grouped together for testing to simplify and speed up the testing process, as it is easier than testing each drug one at a time. When a new drug needs to be tested, it is usually easier to add that substance to an already existing panel, and thus provide more benefit and information to those being tested.
Fentanyl is a synthetic drug that was originally created to mimic other opioids and produce a morphine-like effect. Pharmaceutical fentanyl is 50-100 times stronger than morphine or heroin and was initially used to help cancer patients control their pain. This medication can be easily absorbed through a variety of means including patches, injections, lozenges, etc. Additionally, because of its potency, fentanyl is often mixed with or used to “cut” other drugs to provide an additional effect. This has been seen in street drugs like heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, and ecstasy. Use of substances like this poses a higher risk for unintentional fentanyl exposure, which may result in serious harm or death.
Using a standard urine sample collected at our store location, Any Lab Test Now offers testing for fentanyl as part of a broader panel that includes 12 classes of commonly abused and misused drugs or their metabolites. Fentanyl use can be detected in urine for up to 72 hours after exposure. A confirmed positive result for fentanyl and/or its metabolite is considered evidence of use in that timeframe.
