Alzheimer’s Blood Test
Our Alzheimer’s Blood Test is a simple screen for adults age 50+ that looks at 5 biomarkers linked to changes in the brain associated with Alzheimer’s disease. The test analyzes proteins associated with the formation of amyloid plaques in the brain, including p-tau217, along with markers of cellular injury and inflammation, which work together to provide a clearer picture than a single marker alone. The test results provide an amyloid risk score (0-100) and categorization of low, intermediate, or high likelihood of amyloid plaques.
This test is not a diagnosis and is not intended for healthy individuals with no symptoms of cognitive decline. It is a tool to gauge Alzheimer’s‑related risk that should be evaluated by a clinician in the context of your symptoms and medical history. Results are designed to help you and your care team decide on appropriate next steps, which may include additional tests or imaging. To support you, every test includes a coaching session with a board‑certified neurologist who will review your results, explain what they mean, and outline practical next steps. Our goal is to give you clear, compassionate information so you can plan with confidence.
Note:
LucentAD® Complete blood test is provided by Lucent Diagnostics. This test is not a standalone diagnostic tool and does not by itself confirm or rule out Alzheimer’s Disease. Please review your results with your doctor, who can place them in the full context of your medical history and other evaluations.
Individual assay values are for informational purposes only. Individual markers are not to be used for diagnostic purposes. These markers are combined in an algorithm to give a single score to indicate whether amyloid plaque is the cause of memory loss. This test was developed, and its performance characteristics determined by Quanterix Corporation in a manner consistent with CLIA requirements. This test has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
