The PEth Alcohol Test (Blood) is able to identify alcohol use in a person as far back as 3-4 weeks prior to the specimen collection.  Phosphatidylethanol, or PEth, is formed in red blood cell membranes when they are exposed to alcohol.  It is considered a direct biomarker for alcohol consumption.  

Research has shown that use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers and mouthwashes will not affect the results of a PEth test.  A confirmed positive result for PEth can be interpreted as evidence of alcohol use.

This Designer Stimulants Panel includes 21 compounds that are often synthesized for illicit use and can go undetected in a common drug test. Abuse of designer stimulants continues to be a problem in the US as they are easy to obtain and often produced with legal ingredients. This test includes seven newer generation compounds that have recently be found in bath salts. Also included are 14 potentially dangerous drugs such as Ecstasy and Khat.

Dextromethorphan (DXM) is an antitussive (cough suppressant) medication that is generally found in many over-the-counter cold and cough medications.  When taken as prescribed on the label side effects are mild and include fever, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, pupil dilation and excessive sweating.  However, DXM can and is being abused by many young adults and teens.  Serious side effects when taken in large quantities are concerning and include seizures, confusion, agitation, impaired coordination, disorientation and hallucinations.

The 5 Panel Drug Test (Hair) will identify the presence or absence of five (5) different classes of commonly abused or misused drugs and/or their metabolites.  As a laboratory-based test, this panel includes a routine screen for each drug class, as well as any necessary confirmation testing.

Drugs and their metabolites are deposited in hair as it grows through exposure to blood, sweat, and skin oils.  On average, most drugs are detectable in head hair beginning at 7 days after use and extending as far back as 90 days if the hair sample collected is at least 1.5 inches in length.  A confirmed positive result for a drug or drug metabolite is considered evidence of use or exposure in that time period.  Note that body hair does not grow at the same rate as head hair, therefore the window of detection is less precise.

The EtG (Ethyl Glucuronide) Alcohol Test (Alcohol Metabolite) (Hair) test will identify the presence or absence of EtG in a hair sample.  As a laboratory-based test, this panel includes a routine screen for the presence of EtG, as well as any necessary confirmation testing.  

Ethyl glucuronide is a metabolite of alcohol that can be used to detect alcohol use in people for a longer period of time than direct tests for alcohol.  EtG is deposited in hair as it grows through exposure to blood, sweat, and skin oils.  On average, EtG will become detectable in head hair beginning at 7 days after heavy alcohol use and extending as far back as 90 days if the hair sample collected is at least 1.5 inches in length.  A confirmed positive result for EtG is considered evidence of heavy alcohol use in that time period.  Note that body hair does not grow at the same rate as head hair, therefore the window of detection is less precise.  Results of this test cannot be traced back to a person’s blood alcohol concentration at a specific time in the past.  Infrequent use of alcohol also may not be detectable using this test.

The Drug-Facilitated Sexual Assault Panel (Urine) is specially designed to identify the presence or absence of five (5) common drug classes known to be used in cases of “date rape” or other drug facilitated crimes.  As a laboratory-based test, this panel includes a routine screening test for each substance, as well as any necessary confirmation testing.  The exact detection times vary based on the specific drug.  A confirmed positive result for any substance in this panel can be considered evidence of recent exposure.

The Synthetic Marijuana Urine Drug Test will test for the presence or absence of five variations of the designer drug known on the streets as “Spice” or “K2.”  It is also known as “fake weed”, “yucutan fire” and “legal bud.”  Further testing may be necessary if you need a quantitative value.  Spice and K2 are known as “fake marijuana,” but they will not be detected in a standard drug test, such as a 5 Panel or 10 Panel.

The EtG (Ethyl Glucuronide) Alcohol Test (Alcohol Metabolite) (Urine) will identify the presence or absence of EtG in a urine sample.  As a laboratory-based test, this panel includes a routine screen for the presence of EtG, as well as any necessary confirmation testing.  EtG may be detectable in a person’s urine for up to 80 hours after drinking alcoholic beverages.  A confirmed positive result for a drug or drug metabolite is considered evidence of alcohol consumption in that time period.

The Cotinine Drug Test (Nicotine Metabolite) (Urine) will identify the presence or absence of cotinine in a urine sample.  This laboratory-based test includes a routine screen for the presence of cotinine, as well as any necessary confirmation testing.  Cotinine may be detected in urine for up to seven days after the most recent nicotine use or exposure.  A confirmed positive result for cotinine is considered evidence of use or exposure in that time period.  It is important to note that this test will not distinguish between use of cigarettes, vapes, or nicotine replacement therapy products.

The Marijuana Confirmation Drug Test (Urine) will identify the presence or absence of marijuana metabolite in a urine specimen.  If marijuana metabolite is present, the drug test will also provide the amount.  This test is considered a confirmation test and does not include a screen.

Depending on how much and how often marijuana is used, urine samples may be positive for several weeks after last use.

The Anabolic Steroid Drug Test (Urine) will identify the presence or absence of more than fifty (50) anabolic steroids and their metabolites, including prohormones and designer steroids.  The detection window for anabolic steroids depends on the specific steroid being used and the way it is administered.  In general, injected steroids are detectable for a longer period of time than those taken orally.  A confirmed positive result for any anabolic steroids or metabolite is considered evidence of use or direct exposure.
