THE MEDICINE ABUSE PROJECT
The Medicine Abuse Project launches September 23-29th and begins a multi-year effort to curb prescription drug abuse.
- Everyday, more than 2,000 kids use prescription drugs to get high for the first time.
- Prescription medicines are now the most commonly abused drugs by 12-13 year olds.
- Unintentional drug poisoning is now the leading cause of accidental death in the United States
Join us as we work with Drugfree.org to educate the public, monitor prescription and over the counter drugs, safeguard medicine in our home, safely dispose of unused medicine, and eliminate improper dispensing practices.
