Who should be tested?

Men and women concerned about overall heath, who have a suspected infection, who have or suspect they may have diabetes, who have or suspect they may have dietary deficiency or dietary absorption abnormalities, or who have chronic conditions affecting the kidneys, liver, or heart.

What is the test for?

To evaluate blood sugar levels, liver health, kidney health, renal function, electrolyte balance, parathyroid function, iron levels and to assess the possibility of coronary occlusive heart disease.

Why get tested?

Many health professionals recommend this test as part of your yearly health maintenance plan. You may choose to take this test more frequently if you have hypertension, hypokalemia (low potassium levels), chronic kidney, renal or liver dysfunction, diabetes or heart disease

How is the sample taken?

A blood sample drawn from a vein in the arm.

What do I need to do?

To insure accuracy you will need to fast for 12 hours prior to your test.
