What is it?


A pregnancy test that can indicate how many weeks pregnant you are.

 

  

Who should be tested?


Women who wish to know whether or not they are pregnant. Women who wish to know how many weeks pregnant they are. Pregnant women in their first trimester. Women who have questions about who the father may be and would like to track when conception might have taken place.

 

 

 

What is the test for?


To detect the presence of hCG; a protein produced when a woman is pregnant, and confirm pregnancy.

 

 

 

Why Should I Get Tested?


If you suspect you might be pregnant and it has been at least 10 days since you missed your period. Testing hCG levels is also important to monitor the health of a pregnancy during the first trimester.

 

 

 

How is the sample taken?


A blood sample drawn from a vein in the arm.

 

 

 

What do I need to do?


No fasting or other restrictions are necessary.
