Over one in three children in this country is born out-of-wedlock, an astonishing 41%! The statistics on long term education and job status for these children do not paint a pretty picture. Without the emotional and financial support of both parents, babies born to single mothers fare quite poorly in school and in the workplace.

Just finding the right gift isn't enough anymore. You have some research to do. Although there has been a lot of coverage on lead, cadmium, and BPA in toys and other children's products, were you paying attention? Just because it made it to the store shelf doesn't mean that it's been cleared by anyone or that it's safe.
